In 2007, Lochgelly Motorsport Centre was formed and land was sought in the Fife area for land where a motorsport complex could be built. That land was found in Lochgelly.
The company was formed, and plans were drawn up to include:
- A Stock Car Track
- Karting Track
- Autograss Track
- and other motorsport facilities
We created the web site to gather people thoughts and opinions on what they would like to see at the new track, and asked everyone to submit there support of this application on the fife council web site.Now, in 2008, the planning application has been approved, and we'd like to thank everyone who took the time to send in there comments, submit there support, and back our campaign to get the facility off the ground.
Initial plans have been altered a little, and a few changes have been made following the comments that were raised by the public.
To take into account the size of the project, the name of the project has also been renamed to Lochgelly Motorsport Complex.
